The Real Problem
night knight is a wellness brand built around one product: a melatonin free sleep formula that combines ingredients for relaxation and restorative sleep without the morning grogginess people associate with sleep aids.
A single product store lives or dies on one page. The visitor arrives sceptical, usually at night, usually on a phone, and has three questions: what is in it, will it work for me, and why should I trust you. Most supplement sites answer those with a wall of claims and a buy button. That is exactly the tone a tired, wary person does not want.
The brand needed a site that felt calm and premium, explained a formula without turning into a label, and still moved someone from curious to checkout.

Finding the Fix
The goal was a website that feels calm, premium and easy to understand. I focused on five things:
A strong first screen. The product and its main benefit, clear in the first view, before any scrolling.
Explain it simply. Benefits, ingredients and how to use it, each in its own short section, in that order.
Build trust as you go. Product information, customer reviews, FAQs and key product qualities woven through the page rather than parked at the bottom.
Support the buying journey. One clear path from learning about night knight, to understanding the product, to purchase.
Keep it engaging. Strong visuals, product imagery and a clear content flow so it reads as a brand experience, not a product listing.

What Actually Happened
The homepage was structured as a slow scroll that mirrors how someone decides to buy a sleep product. Hero and main benefit first. Then the product story, the ingredient and benefit sections, a how it works walkthrough, reviews and testimonials, an FAQ, and blog and content sections for people who want to read more before committing. Conversion focused calls to action are placed at the natural decision points rather than repeated on every screen.
The visual direction leaned into night: deep navy and purple, soft gradients, the product bottle photographed with a lot of dark space around it. It looks like the time of day the product is for. The typography and spacing are generous so nothing on the page feels urgent.
The e-commerce flow was kept deliberately short. Learn, understand, buy. Reviews and the FAQ sit close to the purchase points so the trust content is there at the moment of doubt.
Everything was designed responsive from the start, since this is a product most people will research from bed.

What Changed
The new site gave night knight:
A first screen that states the product and its benefit without a single scroll
Ingredient, benefit and how it works sections a non expert can read in a minute
Reviews, FAQs and product qualities placed where a buyer hesitates
A short, clear path from learning to purchase
A responsive design that holds up on the phone at midnight
The site reads as the brand rather than as a product listing, and the buying path is short enough that a tired visitor can finish it.

What I Had to Work With
This was a one product brand, so the site had no catalogue to lean on and had to carry the brand on its own.
The constraints shaped most of the decisions:
Supplement claims that have to stay careful, which limits how loud the benefit copy can be
A sceptical audience with real experience of sleep aids that did not work
A late night, mobile first context where a busy page is actively unpleasant
A brand voice that had to be calm without being bland
A full e-commerce flow, reviews, FAQ and blog that all had to fit one coherent scroll
I designed the experience; the sales numbers belong to the night knight team.
What I Learned
The page should feel like the product. A sleep brand that shouts has already lost.
Trust content belongs next to the decision, not at the bottom of the page.
One product is a design constraint, and a useful one. With nothing to hide behind, every section has to earn its place.
